President
Brianne Riehl

Brianne is an environmental scientist with a Masters in environmental policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She works for a clean energy think tank in Vancouver helping to inform Canada’s clean energy transition. She joined Earthsave Canada in 2017 as a dedicated vegan concerned about the negative environmental impacts of animal agriculture.

Vice-President
David Steele

David is a molecular biologist retired in 2013 from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. He has also held faculty positions at Cornell and Queen’s Universities.

Dr. Steele was Earthsave Canada’s President from 2009 to 2018. He is a frequent public speaker and a regular contributor to Earthsave Canada's publications. He is also an occasional contributor to various other publications.

Paige Campbell

Paige has recently graduated with a BA in Urban Planning and Certificate of Sustainability from the University of Alberta. New to Vancouver, she’s excited to implement the goals of Earthsave through a sustainable food systems and community planning lens. She joined Earthsave in 2019 and is a dedicated vegan concerned about the negative environmental, health, and ethical components of animal agriculture.

Lindsay

Secretary
Lindsay Doucet

Lindsay grew up in Nova Scotia, moved to Ontario to pursue her master's degree and work for the Government of Ontario before moving even further west to Vancouver. An Acadia University and Queen's University alumna, Lindsay is currently a Government Relations Officer at UBC. When she isn't cooking a new vegan recipe, Lindsay enjoys curling, barre classes and traveling to Disney parks. Connect with Lindsay on Twitter at @lindsaydoucet.

Jennifer Flood

Jennifer is a lawyer with a J.D. from UBC and a B.Sc. in physics from Queen's University. A vegan for over a decade and an avid cyclist, she joined Earthsave Canada in 2018.

Director of Volunteers
Sheri Lucas

Sheri’s creed is philosophy as the love of wisdom. She has an MA in Philosophy through Queen’s University, and hopes to complete her PhD in the not-too-distant future, also from Queen’s. Her academic interests include feminist philosophy and its critics, animal ethics, parenting ethics, disability ethics, environmental ethics, and academic ethics. Sheri has been vegan since 2000 and is the mother of a teenage son who is a lifelong vegan. She is an experienced public speaker and has published work in Hypatia and in the Encyclopedia of Motherhood. She works as a writer for Untapped, helping neurodiverse people succeed at school, work, and in general. She is in the process of founding her own intimate school of philosophy: the Vancouver School of Philosophy. Its motto is philosophy for all.

Tannis Larsen

Tannis is a certified teacher who started teaching about ecology and human impact on the planet while teaching Biology 11. She joins Earthsave to reach a bigger, broader audience and hopes to bring about a world of compassion and care for animals and the environment.
